In keeping with Rotary’s “Service Above Self” mission and consistent with Rotary International’s goal to “Connect the World,” the Rotary Club of New Canaan was honored to award grants to local nonprofit organizations meeting health care and education needs of people living in New Canaan and surrounding communities. At two well-attended Zoom award luncheons, representatives from 30 highly worthy organizations received grants totaling $37,500.
In addition, members of the Rotary Club of New Canaan presented a Grant Check and a supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the leadership team at Waveny Lifecare Network in New Canaan.
Funding for the grants was raised at the club’s 2019 Annual Lobsterfest and at the fall Golf Outing.

We are so grateful to our friends and neighbors who supported the Rotary Club’s fundraising activities. Their generosity makes it possible for the club to “pay it forward” to these nonprofits, which are meeting so many critical needs, ever more so during this time when we are facing the coronavirus pandemic.
We salute these fine organizations and the selfless individuals who serve there and look forward to next year.
With gratitude,
