The Rotary Club of New Canaan has been a supporter of Bristow Park over the last five years. This local landmark will celebrate it's 100th Anniversary on Sunday, September 8th at 2pm. No cost to attend .... but they are using this occasion to raise funds for the continued maintenance of the Bristow Bird Sanctuary and Wildlife Preserve. Our Keynote Speaker will be David Sibley, the nations foremost birding authority, giving a talk on the importance of saving bird habitat throughout the Northeast. Enjoy the Harmonia V Woodwind Quintet perform nature themed pieces composed by Bristow neighbor Gwyneth Walker. Watch the unveiling of the new Francis of Assisi statue by Leo & Steve Karl. Hear the St. Francis re-dedication by Scott Herr. Listen to the New Canaan High School Madrigals sing Dona Nobis Pacem. A Bristow Cake and Refreshments will be served. Join in the Celebration of New Canaan's long history of conservation at the Bristow Centennial Celebration at 2pm, September 8th at the center crossing pavilion.
